Summer Guitar & Fretted Friends Class

Thursdays, 6:00-7:00 pm

Location: Central Campus

2025 Tuition:  $175


 

Bring your favorite fretted instrument (Guitar, Ukulele, Banjo, Bass Guitar, Lap Dulcimer, and/or Mandolin)


This class will focus on:


  • The 3 building blocks of music: Rhythm, Harmony, and Melody and how they are used to play songs.


  • We will learn how to form chords, strum basic rhythms, and use scales to create melodies.


  • Students will learn how to play with others as a group.


  • Students will learn to read the different forms of music notation common for fretted instruments, such as standard notation, chord charts, and tablature.


  • We will also learn common styles of music like rock, pop, and classical.

Attendance: We understand that students may miss a class or two due to family vacations, other activities, etc. Students are still encouraged to participate in the classes.
