ISM Shout Out - March 2025
Wow what a fabulous trip we had to NY City! The students performed for the judges yesterday morning and they all played their very best.
The ensemble and attention to detail was inspiring, but most of all, they played from their hearts.
Sinfonia’s performance brought one judge to tears. We are so grateful that these young musicians work so hard to share the powerful gift of music.
Results:
- YSO: Gold Rating (they did not receive a ranking since there were no other JR high group)
- SINFONIA: Gold Rating and First Place (1st) Place
- Adjudication Award (Score above 92)
- Outstanding Orchestra Award (Highest Scoring Orchestra at the festival)
- Maestro Award: Will Oertel (He was awarded this for his solo in Strange Humors)
- Ovation Award: Nathan Lehmann (One student is selected at each festival based on the director’s recommendations. Our Nathan Lehmann was selected due to his selfless service he has shown all the ISM students of all ages through all the years)
